Did you know that owning an electric vehicle, or EV, such as an electric moped can not only be fun, but can be cost effective also? Most of you probably knew that a traditional moped can save you money, but did you know that an electric moped is even more cost-efficient than a traditional one? Auto insurance is extremely affordable, you could pay as little as 5-10 dollars a month to insure your electric moped. While a car can cost you hundreds of dollars every year in auto registration, most states do not require you to register your moped. They also have less on them that can go wrong, so less trips to the mechanic means more money in your pocket.
Let’s look at some other electric cars that will save you more money than your gas guzzling, fossil fuel burning vehicle. A Nissan Leaf electric car, for example, can save you hundreds or thousands of dollars each year in gas alone. You will also be saving by not having to take the car to the mechanic frequently.
Maybe you already have a nice car, and don’t want to spend the money on a new one? No problem. You can purchase electric car conversion kits and change your existing car into an electric one in no time. Or, you can hire a mechanic or electric car conversion specialist to do the work for you. Either way, you will be saving money if you convert your car to an electric one. With the money you would be spending on gas you could pay off some debt, or save up for that dream vacation. Whatever you choose, an electric car is the way to go.
What about an electric bike? Everyone already knows that a bike is the easiest way to save money if you live close to your work. What about getting up that huge hill though on your way to work? You don’t want to be sweaty when you show up to work, so why not try an electric bike? It gives you the power to get up those hills effortlessly, and saves you money just the same. Another advantage of an electric bicycle is that you can travel about 10-40 miles before recharging your battery. That’s quite a bit of traveling for a bike, and it can reach a speed of 10-20 mph (which is about the maximum most countries allow for bikes anyways).
If you check out the latest electric vehicle news, you will find that many countries are also catching on to money saving electric vehicles. For example, did you know that countries such as Canada, The United States, Germany, England and New Zealand are all using hybrid buses for major means of transportation in their big cities? They have caught on to the knowledge that by going electric, they are saving a ton of money and keep their cities cleaner at the same time.
There are many other forms of electric vehicles such as electric scooters, electric buses, and hybrid cars. Let me encourage you to do your research on these great vehicles. I think you will be surprised at the money you will save, and how many great electric vehicles are waiting just for you. If you need a place to start, I would suggest reading up on the Chevy Volt EV and the i-miev, which is made by Mitsubishi. These are some of the EVs that are on the cutting edge right now.
